This years Have a Ball Golf Tournament was held on
July 20th, 2007...
Here is a review of what was accomplished by the Have
a Ball Foundation this year:
-) Raised $130,000.00 through 3rd Annual Golf
Tournament through 44 Corporate Sponsors and 152
Corporations. We had 160 participants this year.
-) Formed Grant/Scholarship on behalf of Dr. Fred
Marcus at Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City, Ca.
-) Formed cancer awareness program with Sequoia
Hospital to promote cancer awareness throughout 3
Hospitals; as well as through t.v. commercials,
billboards etc.
-) Formed 1st Annual "Have a Ball Day" with the New
York Mets to raise awareness for testicular cancer
through every "ball" thrown this past June 23rd in
Shea Stadium. 56,000 people were in attendance.
-) Aired our first Testicular Cancer Awareness
commercial on the radio during broadcasts of San
Francisco Giants games this summer on KNBR 680 in San
Francisco.
-) Donated to 12 different cancer organizations:
- Lance Armstrong Foundation in Austin, Texas
- Sequoia Hospital Foundation in Redwood City,
California
- Ulman Cancer Fund in Columbia, Maryland
- U.C.S.F. Cancer Resource Center in San Francisco,
California
- Camp Okizu in Novato, California
- First Descents in Vail, Colorado
- National Coalition for Cancer Survivors in Silver
Spring, Maryland
- Children's Hospital in Oakland, California
- American Cancer Society as sponspr of the Relay for
Life in San Carlos, California
- Sean Kimerling Testicular Cancer Foundation in New
York, New York
- Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in White Plains, New
York
- Susan G. Komen Foundation in Dallas, Texas
